Guide to Using WebAssign
(The Website where you will do some of your Homework)
part1 (for parents)

Hello to all parents of Physical Science students, and welcome to the school year at Bishop’s.  Students are starting an exciting adventure into the world of physics this semester.  The students will spend most of their time in-class doing experiments and culling truth out of those experiments.  We are starting the year with experiments in light, including: Color Mixing, Refraction, and Geometric Optics.

Another important component of the course is homework and some of this will be done online.  Your student will need to login to the WebAssign page (directions on opposite side) to view/complete their homework.  Some time in the next four days you will need to pay a small fee ($8.80) for year-long use of WebAssign.  This can be done by credit card.  Following the directions on the opposite page to login to WebAssign, you will find yourself on the page seen below. Click where shown below, then input your information.  You will be asked to pay by credit card ($8.80).  The Physical Science teachers greatly appreciate your support and help in getting students signed up for this online homework.  It is just one of the many valuable tools we will be using this year to help the students learn physics.  If you have any questions or would like to arrange payment by a different method, please contact Marcus Milling, Science Department Chair (millingm@bishops.com, (858)459-4021, Ext.764).

Guide to Using WebAssign
(The Website where you will do some of your Homework)
part 2 (for students)

(1) Go to my website www.gregwlowe.com                (or you can go directly to the WebAssign
login  www.webassign.net/login.html and skip to step 4)

(2)  Go to the ‘Physical Science’ page (click on link along top of page)

(3)  Scroll down and click on the WebAssign Login link

(4)  Input the USERNAME, INSTITUTION, and PASSWORD you were given in class (see image above).
Note:  INSTITUTUION is same for everyone, <bishops.ca>

(5)  You can bypass (lower pink region) the payment the first time and proceed to the homework page (for year-long access to the site you will have to pay $8.80, by credit card).

(6)  On the main homework page you should see the current assignments and when they are due.  Open the correct assignment and start answering questions!  You will need your notes and your textbook to help you.  When you have answered a question remember to click the SUBMIT QUESTION button.  Remember you will need to complete them the night BEFORE the due date, as with any homework.  Good luck, and if you have trouble with any of this come see me during the after-school period (2:30-3:15 everyday).
