Your eyes: Your eyes have cones that respond to the same colors we have used in our light and mixing labs. Red, Green and Blue. When you look at any object, our cones send various signals to the brain to represent the range of "color" types that enters into your eye. Knowing you have Red, Green and Blue cone receptors, answer the following questions for the color optical illustions.
Task #1
Stare at the plus sign in the middle and do not waiver from it. What eventually starts to happen to the magenta dots? Can you explain why this happens?

Task #2:
This one is more for fun. Can you explain why the squares marked A and B look like they are different shades of gray?

Task #3
We promise that this is not an animation. Move your eyes around and what happens? Can you expain why this happens?

Task 4:

Task 5:
Stare at the middle object and explain what happens around it. Why do you think this happens?

Task 6:
Don't do this one for too long... it is rather erie! Compare the color combinations with this task and from Task 4. Can you think of another two combinations that would also make a cool optical illusion and trick your eyes into motion?
